"I was more motivated by the fact that everything we collected will be donated to those in hunger," she said. "I was focused on grabbing food that people can stretch for a long way for their families."
"It was like a grocery sweepstake," said Jean Council, of Bait-ul Jamaat House of Community. "I was thinking about getting food that the elderly would probably eat... less salt and less sugar."
