This New Jersey Farm's Tulip Season Feels Like the Netherlands' Iconic Tulip Fields-What to Know
Briefly

Holland Ridge Farm in Cream Ridge, New Jersey, boasts 8 million tulips of 100 varieties that visitors can pick during its annual U-Pick Tulips Spring Spectacular. The farm opens timed-entry ticket sales in early April, depending on the bloom schedule, and offers picking for $1 per stem on weekends. This year, the farm is introducing a traditional Dutch windmill to enhance the Dutch experience. Spokesperson Patrick Marini describes the farm's unique ambiance, likening it to a slice of the Netherlands in New Jersey, complete with Dutch culture and traditions.
"Be ready to be amazed-and also be ready to pick," spokesperson Patrick Marini told Travel + Leisure. "We provide the buckets, and you don't need anything to cut them. To pick, all you do is twist and pull."
"When you visit the farm, it truly feels like you're in the Netherlands," Marini said. "From wooden shoes to stroopwafels and actual Dutch employees wandering around ... not only do we plant the most tulips, but we also plant the most varieties."
