These NYC beaches to remain closed Tuesday due to Ernesto rip current threat

Beaches in Brooklyn and on the Rockaway Peninsula will remain closed to swimming and wading until Tuesday due to safety risks from Tropical Storm Ernesto.

Mayor Eric Adams emphasized the need for safety, stating, 'Our primary focus is keeping New Yorkers safe... to protect New Yorkers from dangerous rip currents.'
