Tesco has announced that it is once again increasing the price of its popular lunchtime meal deals, making adjustments to enhance the ingredient quality.
The price of the standard meal deal will rise from 3.40 to 3.60 for Clubcard members, while non-members will pay 4, up from 3.90.
The supermarket states that it made this decision after improvements, like using cheddar matured longer for a stronger taste and sweeter plum tomatoes.
A Tesco spokesperson noted, 'With millions of possible combinations...our recent improvements to ingredients and more than 20 new mains introduced...the meal deal has got something for every taste.'
