Ops, a popular pizza establishment that originated in Bushwick in 2016, is set to open a new location in Manhattan's East Village on June 28. Co-owner Mike Fadem is introducing their signature wood-fired neo-Neapolitan pizzas, made with a unique sourdough base, along with new tavern-style pizzas. The menu will also include special items such as fritto misto. Fadem emphasizes the nostalgic connection customers have to pizza, aiming to offer comfort food that resonates with patrons.
Co-owner Mike Fadem stated, "Pizza is one of the first foods you remember, so it's loaded, and we don't want to fight [anyone's] comfort level" at Ops' new location.
