Trans activists storm NYC schools meeting, dance 'Macarena' to protest support of female athletes
Briefly

In Manhattan, a group of around 100 trans rights activists disrupted a recent Community Education Council meeting, protesting against policies that permit boys to compete in girls' sports. The group's disruptive tactics included dancing the 'Macarena' during public comments made by attendees advocating for female athletes. The protests have escalated over the past year following the council's Resolution 248, which urged a review of gender-based competition policies. Many activists involved in these demonstrations do not have children in the school district, raising questions about their motives and involvement in educational policies.

The demonstrations have gotten increasingly disruptive, with the trans activists, most of whom do not have kids in District 2 public schools, rallying beforehand and bringing doughnuts.
