Throughout history, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) has experienced changes in its positions on sexuality and gender, from advocating plural marriage to condemning homosexuality and, more recently, becoming more accepting of LGBTQ+ identities.
Doctrines and policies surrounding sexuality, such as views on oral sex, birth control, and interracial marriage, within the LDS Church have been inconsistently managed and have evolved over its two-hundred-year history.
