Washington, D.C. police arrested Ryan Fournier, co-founder of Students for Trump and Turning Point Action, after allegations that he assaulted and threatened a woman he was dating. The woman reported that Fournier was passed out on the floor when she arrived, and that when she woke him he struck her in the face multiple times. She said he got on top of her, had a knife at his side without brandishing it, and told her he would kill everyone there. A witness reported hearing threats involving crushing her head and dying today, and said the woman appeared punched in the face. The woman and witness hid in a bathroom until police arrived. Prior arrests included domestic violence and DUI, and he faced allegations involving a fake law firm and anti-LGBTQ+ social media comments.
"The woman told police that, while visiting Fournier, she found him passed out on the floor. When she woke him, he "started swinging his fists at her and struck her in the face with a closed fist two or three times," according to a police affidavit obtained by Defector."
"She then said he got on top of her, had a knife at his side (though he didn't brandish it), and said, "I'll kill everyone here." The woman claimed he regularly says things like that."
"A witness who identified himself as Fournier's roommate said he overheard him saying, "Don't touch me, woman!... Do you want me to crush your head in with this lamp?... Do you want to die today?" The witness said the woman appeared to have been punched in the face and said, "Don't let him stab me.""
"In November 2023, Fournier was arrested on domestic violence charges for allegedly pistol-whipping his then-girlfriend. He has also been twice arrested for driving under the influence. Fournier allegedly helped a friend create a fake law firm to swindle innocent clients, then turned in his friend to federal legal authorities. Fournier has made anti-LGBTQ+ comments on his social media accounts."
