NYC opens first queer nightlife community center
Briefly

The Queer Nightlife Community Center (QNCC) has launched in East New York as a pioneering nonprofit venue designed specifically for queer nightlife workers. Spanning 28,000 square feet, the center serves dual purposes; during the day, it offers public health and workforce services, while at night, it hosts diverse performances and events. With support from a prominent board of creatives and activists, QNCC aims to empower the historically marginalized queer and trans workforce in a space that nurtures creativity and community.
The Queer Nightlife Community Center (QNCC) has officially launched in East New York, becoming the first nonprofit venue specifically designed for and by queer nightlife workers.
By day, the venue will host public health and workforce development services. By night, it'll transform into a multi-sensory playground of performances, parties and programming.
Backing the effort is a star-studded board of creative directors that reads like a who's who of downtown cool, including renowned activists and artists.
More than just a venue, QNCC is a long-needed institution for a workforce that's historically been underpaid, underserved, and overexposed.
