On Saturday night, Times Square became a vibrant hub for 7,000 Jewish teens from 60 countries, gathered to celebrate and embrace their faith amidst rising antisemitism and challenges in their local communities. Organized by CTeen International, the event marked the culmination of the 17th annual CTeen International Shabbaton. The participants united actively, reciting the Shema together as a profound affirmation of their Jewish identity, illustrating the strength in their collective diversity and shared heritage, all set against the iconic backdrop of New York City.
They weren't there to explain their Jewish identity—they came to embrace it, unapologetically and out loud.
Despite their different backgrounds, they stood together, demonstrating the unbreakable strength of their shared heritage.
