It's a maze, it's a Minotaur, it's a metaphor, it's... 'boycow' - 48 hills
Briefly

The article discusses a contemporary performance piece titled 'boycow,' which intricately weaves the ancient myth of the Minotaur with modern theatrical elements. The performers, Cornelius and Gabriele Christian, also known in the drag community, have crafted a dual dance show set in different rooms, inviting the audience to navigate between them. This innovative format reflects both a literal and metaphorical labyrinth. Cornelius shares insights about his long-term fascination with the Minotaur myth, which he has been researching since 2015, and the interruptions due to the pandemic that shaped the work's evolution.
boycow, or The Minotaur, or 10 Acts (1-5), or Bullshit: a thought form, a choreography, an incantation, a litany, word-labyrinth made of social contracts, coconut oil, confetti, greek myth and playing herself, as herself, the THEATER.
I started doing research on the Minotaur and the labyrinth myth in 2015, outside of other projects. I had a residency at Edmonds Center for the Arts, and became invested in the idea of someday making a Minotaur piece.
