Everything you need to know about the bisexual flag, including who invented it
Briefly

The bisexual flag consists of three solid horizontal bars: two-fifths pink, one-fifth purple, and two-fifths blue, with the purple stripe overlapping the others.
The top bar is magenta pink and represents attraction toward the same sex, while the bottom bar is royal blue signifying attraction to the opposite sex.
Originally, the purple overlap of the bisexual flag was considered to represent attraction to 'both sexes,' now widely understood as attraction to multiple genders.
Michael Page designed the bisexual flag in 1998, basing it on the 'Bi-Angles' symbol, which had its own perspective on bisexuality at the time.
