Former NFL punter Chris Kluwe was arrested during a Huntington Beach City Council meeting after protesting a proposed plaque celebrating the 50th anniversary of the local library, which he criticized for its connection to the MAGA movement. Kluwe, during his speech, claimed that the MAGA movement symbolizes a Nazi ideology, receiving applause from the crowd. After asserting his intent to engage in peaceful protest, he was restrained by police. The city council approved the plaque following his arrest, which has been met with backlash for its political implications.
Unfortunately, it's clear that this council does not listen, so instead, I'm going to take my time to say what MAGA has stood for these past three weeks.
Most importantly, MAGA is explicitly a Nazi movement; you may have replaced a swastika with a red hat, but that is what it is.
