Baltimore rabbi pulls pistol on two assailants who tried to steal his car: report
Briefly

Rabbi Emanuel Goldfeiz, 62, was attacked by masked assailants attempting to steal his car near his North Baltimore condominium. The assailants assaulted him and managed to take his keys but fled after he brandished a handgun. Councilman Isaac "Yitzy" Schliefer noted a 20% rise in carjackings in the area, with this attack on a religious figure being particularly disturbing. Community leaders expressed concern for Goldfeiz's recovery as well as the overall safety of the neighborhood, highlighting the alarming trend of violence against vulnerable individuals.
"They just came up and punched him in the face," Baltimore City Councilman Isaac "Yitzy" Schliefer, who represents the district where Goldfeiz was assaulted, told the outlet.
"Unfortunately, he's hurt. He was punched very, very hard, and I'm wishing him a speedy recovery," Rabbi Velvel Belinsky told News 11.
"When we hear about events like this, it's definitely very disturbing because safety is a very big concern for us," Belinsky added.
"Just the brazenness of the incident, where they have no problem going and attacking an older person, somebody clearly who's a person of faith."
