The White Hut Elevate initiative offers mentorship and practical training for emerging musicians aged 18-30 in Croydon facing significant obstacles in the music industry. Participants will record original tracks in a professional studio, gain insights from workshops on key topics such as music rights and mental health, and connect with industry professionals. Funded by Arts Council England and led by Silvastone, the program aims to address social inequalities and foster diversity in music by supporting local talent and helping them realize their full potential.
"Despite the fact Croydon talent has contributed so much to the music world, I've heard from so many young people that there just isn't the resources or support to help them navigate the industry."
"Problems like social inequality, economic hardship and a lack of access to arts education mean talented young people are not realizing their full potential; creatives are suffering and the music industry is lacking diversity as a result."
