"A collaboration with L.A. pop band The Marías, "All I Did Was Dream Of You" is Beabadoobee's first official release since 2024's excellent This Is How Tomorrow Moves. And the pop experimentalist is clearly making up for lost time, as the single finds her expertly balancing '90s shoegaze, earnest folk, and a smidgen of electronica to make us think we're actually the one's dreaming."
""All I Did Was Dream Of You" is technically Beabadoobee's first original song in two years. Earlier this month, she contributed a cover of Elliott Smith's "Say Yes" to a star-studded charity album benefiting the global children's charity War Child UK."
"From 2018 to 2021, Beabadoobee released a maddening five EPs - Lice (2018), Patched Up (2018), Loveworm (2019), Space Cadet (2019), and Our Extended Play (2021) - as well as her debut LP, October 2020's Fake It Flowers. Her follow-up album, Beatopia, dropped in mid-2022."
