You can use ChatGPT to build a personalized Spotify playlist now - here's how
"While chatting with ChatGPT, mention Spotify. The first time you do this, you'll be asked to connect your Spotify account (this is entirely opt-in, and you can connect or disconnect at any time). Ask ChatGPT for songs, podcasts, artists, playlists, or albums. You can say things like, "Make a workout playlist from the artists I listen to regularly," or ask for recommendations based on vibes, themes, or moods. Once your list is generated, you can tap a track to open it in the Spotify app."
"You could already ask ChatGPT for song recommendations, of course, by detailing what you like to listen to or telling it what vibes you wanted, but this feature lets AI make recommendations based on what you already listen to and then put those playlists or tracks right into your Spotify."
ChatGPT can connect to Spotify accounts to recommend songs, podcasts, artists, playlists, and albums based on listening history and user prompts. Connection is opt-in and can be connected or disconnected at any time. Users can request mood-, theme-, or vibe-based recommendations or ask for playlists built from artists they already listen to. Generated lists allow tapping a track to open it in the Spotify app. Free users can source songs from existing Spotify playlists such as Discover Weekly and New Music Friday. Premium users receive additional capabilities to turn more elaborate prompts into richer playlist results.
