Fidelity, Yaya Bey's fourth album, arrives April 17 on Drink Sum Wtr and includes the single "Blue." Bey wrote "Blue" during a low point after Do It Afraid and said she needed a major mental and emotional shift to avoid drowning. The album examines grief after the death of her father, Grand Daddy I.U., and the erosion of Black community through New York gentrification. The record addresses renewal after heartache and a commitment to remain "religiously joyful" amid social decline. The LP features a reggae-infused collaboration, "Egyptian Musk," with Nesta, and a 16-track sequence blending introspection and resilience.
