Unknown Mortal Orchestra announces new EP Curse, reveals "Boys with the Characteristics of Wolves"
Briefly

Unknown Mortal Orchestra, led by Ruban Nielson, is set to release a new EP titled 'Curse' on June 18th. Following their earlier instrumental EP, IC-02 Bogotá, this new work marks a notable shift back to lyrical content. Drawing inspiration from '70s and '80s Italian horror films, Nielson explores dark themes reflecting morality amidst chaos. The lead single, 'Boys with the Characteristics of Wolves,' showcases a blend of driving riffs and a darker tone, complemented by a haunting music video that underscores the EP's eerie atmosphere.
On Curse, Nielson took inspiration from '70s and '80s Italian horror films and confronting 'the void.'
In the hearts of men there are sometimes goodnesses hidden but substantial, which would be the difference in times of woe between finding oneself at the mercy of a monster or a more heroic creature.
In the clownish, happy-go-lucky soil of lies and chaos, a silly kind of music can grow; a senseless laughter, and we can amuse ourselves with it, however darkly.
'Boys with the Characteristics of Wolves' builds a spindling riff, driving drums, and an air of tension to a rollicking, Sabbath-inspired chorus.
