"A musician of multifarious talents, Thomas Pridgen was arguably a star even before he joined boundary-pushing band The Mars Volta in 2006. A drummer since age three, at 15, Pridgen was the youngest-ever musician to win a scholarship to the prestigious Berklee College of Music. After three years with The Mars Volta, Pridgen ventured in multiple creative directions at once: jazz (with Christian Scott), punk (Trash Talk), progressive metal (Giraffe Tongue Orchestra) and all-star rock power trio Pinnick Gales Pridgen."
