Nate Amos has announced a deluxe edition of his album 'Box for Buddy, Box for Star', set to release on April 25 via Double Double Whammy. This expanded version will include new renditions of three songs, one being 'Dancing in the Club,' re-recorded with MJ Lenderman. Both artists expressed excitement about the collaboration with Lenderman noting Amos’ album was his favorite of 2024. The deluxe version will also feature tracks made by Amos' family and a cover by Snail Mail, showcasing a breadth of talent and creative connections within the album's execution.
"Box for Buddy was by far the album I listened to most in 2024," Lenderman said in a statement. "I had a great time re-recording 'Dancing in the Club' with Nate back in December."
Amos added, "I really loved working on the MJ version of 'Dancing in the Club'—Jake is chill AF and mad talented. More so than any other song I've written, this one was dreamt up for others to sing, so it was pretty freaky watching it fall into place with someone like Jake handling lead vocals."
