Can Such Delightful Times Go On Forever? will be released January 30 on Thrill Jockey and represents Drew Daniel’s first Soft Pink Truth album since 2022. The lead single, “Time Inside the Violet,” is accompanied by a music video animated by Matthew Murray Sullivan with visual collaboration from Vicki Bennett. Production and contributions include Daniel’s husband and Matmos bandmate M.C. Schmidt, guitarist Bill Orcutt, and additional collaborators. The album probes the limitations of pleasure amid a dystopian contemporary landscape and serves as a follow-up to Is It Going to Get Any Deeper Than This?. The record features eight tracks.
