Two new categories appear: Best Album Cover and Best Traditional Country Album. The Best Traditional Country Album category aims to honor traditional country work that does not fit into the Americana classification following Beyoncé's Best Country Album win for Cowboy Carter. Major categories listed include Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Best New Artist, and numerous genre-specific awards across pop, rock, R&B, rap, country, roots, blues, folk, and Latin fields.
