"Talking Heads have gathered some of their early rarities on a new compilation album for Record Store Day's 2025 Black Friday event. Tentative Decisions features demos of songs that would later appear on the band's first two albums-1777's Talking Heads: 77 and 1978's More Songs About Buildings and Food-alongside a live recording of "Artists Only" from the Lower Manhattan Ocean Club and versions of "Psycho Killer" and "Warning Sign" credited to David Byrne and Chris Frantz's first band, the Artistics."

Talking Heads compiled early rarities into Tentative Decisions, a Record Store Day Black Friday 2025 LP of demos and live recordings. The collection includes September 1975 and 1976 demos of songs later appearing on Talking Heads: 77 and More Songs About Buildings and Food, a live version of "Artists Only" from the Ocean Club (August 17, 1976), and two tracks credited to David Byrne and Chris Frantz's pre-Talking Heads band the Artistics. The LP is a physical exclusive at participating record stores beginning November 28. The band celebrated their 50th anniversary with a new "Psycho Killer" video directed by Mike Mills and a 2024 reissue of Talking Heads: 77.
