Scowl, a rising hardcore band, has announced the release of their second album, 'Are We All Angels', set for April 4th. They have shared a new single titled 'Not Hell, Not Heaven', showcasing an upbeat melodic punk sound. Vocalist Kat Moss describes the song as an exploration of victimhood and empowerment. The band's evolution since their debut album in 2021 is highlighted by improved musicianship. Scowl will embark on a North American tour with Movements and Citizen starting March 1st, enhancing their growing popularity in the hardcore scene.
"It's about feeling victimized and being a victim, but not wanting to identify with being a victim," said Moss of the new single in a press release.
The vocalist also noted a progression in the band's sound from How Flowers Grow to Are We All Angels, explaining, "The majority of us were really not proficient musicians when this band started."
They returned with the song 'Special' in October of last year, landing an honorable mention on Consequence's Heavy Song of the Week rundown.
Scowl are set to hit the road with Movements and Citizen on a North American tour that kicks off March 1st in Tempe, Arizona.
