New England garage punk band Perennial will release their new EP, 'Perennial '65,' on April 4th, featuring a mix of original songs and a cover. Expanding on their '60s-inspired 'mod-punk' sound from their album 'Art History,' the EP includes a cover of The Kinks' classic track, original songs like 'C is for Cubism,' and remixes by notable artists Cody Votolato and Chris Walla. The duo of Chad Jewett and Chelsea Hahn's vocals are highlighted throughout, creating an infectious energy and nostalgia.
We wanted something with a bit more of that Maximum R&B groove.
Perennial '65 is as catchy and rambunctious as anything on Art History, serving as a great crash course into the band's mix of classic pop and explosive punk.
The EP features a cover of The Kinks' 'All Day and All of the Night' and includes two remixes, highlighting Perennial's innovative sound.
With dueling vocals from Chad Jewett and Chelsea Hahn, the incessant tambourine and old-school organ create an energetic and nostalgic atmosphere.
