Pat Smear injured himself in a bizarre gardening accident and broke multiple bones in his left foot. He will miss a few upcoming Foo Fighters shows, including a benefit in Los Angeles on January 14 and scheduled dates in Australia and Mexico. Jason Falkner will fill in on guitar while Smear recovers. Smear was pictured smiling and flipping off the camera while being taken to an ambulance. The next Foo Fighters appearance after the January dates is in May at Welcome to Rockville, followed by summer UK, European, and North American legs of the Take Cover tour with Queens of the Stone Age.
