Marc Maron will portray Chuck Plotkin, the producer who mastered Bruce Springsteen's pivotal 1982 album, translating unprocessed demos into high-quality audio.
The film, titled Deliver Me From Nowhere, directed by Scott Cooper, draws inspiration from Warren Zanes' memoir, focusing on Springsteen's life during the creation of Nebraska.
Gabby Hoffmann plays Springsteen's mother, Adele, while David Krumholtz will portray Al Teller, the record label executive responsible for the release of Nebraska.
Springsteen and his longtime manager, Jon Landau, are closely involved in the film's production, which is currently taking place in New Jersey and New York.
