Man caught drink-driving while transporting his dog of 15 years who had just died

Robert McNabb, a 72-year-old from Churchtown, faced a Garda checkpoint while transporting his deceased dog, 'Lucky', and was found to be over the drink-driving limit.

During the court session, it was revealed that McNabb returned a breath-alcohol reading of 49 microgrammes per 100 millilitres of breath, leading to additional legal issues.
