In a recent interview, Randy Blythe voted for 'Ride the Lightning' as his favorite Metallica album, praising its aggression and rawness over 'Master of Puppets.'
Blythe mentioned, 'I think Master of Puppets overall sounds better as a record, but Ride the Lightning is more ferocious... it's just so incredibly aggressive.'
Comparing Metallica's albums to Bad Brains, Blythe said, 'It's kind of like the difference between the first Bad Brains record and I Against I... I just like the rawness of Ride the Lightning.'
