He was a passenger in the vehicle driven by his 90-year-old mother, who struck a tree while backing up. Cochran was ejected from the car and succumbed to his injuries shortly after. He was notable for his work with KISS, including co-writing 'Into the Void' and performing with Joe Lynn Turner. KISS and Turner paid heartfelt tributes, acknowledging Cochran's talent and resilience, especially after recovering from a stroke in 2014.
Cochran was a passenger in the car, and was ejected when the 2015 Subaru Legacy his mother Arna was driving struck a tree while backing up.
KISS paid tribute by sharing a photo of the guitarist with Paul Stanley, calling him a vocalist and guitarist extraordinaire.
Joe Lynn Turner offered a lengthy tribute, saying, 'I have lost a brother, friend and partner. Now there will always be a missing part of my heart.'
