Kid Rock Says He Didn't Lip Sync During His All-American Halftime Show
"My halftime performance was pre recorded but performed live. No lipsycing like the haters and fake news are trying to report," he posted on X the day after the show. "When they synced the cameras to my performance on Bawitdaba, it did not line up as I explain in this video."
"As promised, the video attached showed Kid Rock and DJ Freddie "Paradime" Beauregard together defending his performance. "First thing is, if I was ever going to lip sync, which I wouldn't, that would be the last song I would ever have to bring in the fold to do it to," Kid Rock added. "We've performed this song every night on tour since 1998, since the day it was released."
"He then claimed that the production team was unfamiliar with the song and ill-prepared to have it synced correctly. Kid Rock said, "It was very difficult for them because someone clearly wasn't super familiar with the song.""
Kid Rock denies lip-syncing during the Turning Point USA alternate Halftime Show and says the performance was pre-recorded but performed live. He posted the statement on X the day after the show and attached a video with DJ Freddie "Paradime" Beauregard defending the performance. He said camera synchronization for his performance of "Bawitdaba" did not line up and blamed the production team for being unfamiliar with the song. He emphasized that the band has performed the song every night on tour since 1998 and reiterated that he would not lip sync.
