Kehlani, an Oakland native and recent first-time Grammy winner, stopped for dinner at Middle Eastern restaurant Barcha in San Francisco before a Super Bowl weekend performance. Owner Kais Bouzidi said Kehlani is a return customer who visited in May 2024 and arrived with a group of eight for an early meal tied to the Levi's Home Turf pop-up. The group shared many of Barcha's bestsellers, including lamb chops, tahdig, dumplings and various spreads. The restaurant was mostly empty, and staff aimed to create an intimate, comfortable experience. Bouzidi took a photo with Kehlani, praised her graciousness, and Kehlani reposted the photo on her Instagram story urging fans to visit.
