Julien Baker and Torres Announce New Album, Share Video
Briefly

Julien Baker and Torres have unveiled their collaborative album, 'Send a Prayer My Way,' set for release on April 18 via Matador. This album marks a shift toward a country sound for both indie rock artists, with the latest single 'Sylvia' showcasing this new direction. Mackenzie Scott, known as Torres, shares the emotional backstory of the song, which reflects the bond between pets and their owners. Their partnership has been in the making since 2016, culminating in this collection of 12 tracks, including their previous single 'Sugar in the Tank.'
The morning I went to pick up my dog Sylvia from an upstate shelter, I was at home making my coffee and I turned on WFMU and Dolly Parton's 'Cracker Jack' was on. I burst into tears-it felt like the universe was telling me she was going to be mine.
Send a Prayer My Way is their first album written and performed together, but has been a shared idea between the two artists dating as far back as 2016.
