He flew from Philadelphia to San Francisco during a snowstorm and rehearsed for two weeks. The role required an athletic build, height between 5'7" and 6', and the ability to wear a 40-plus-pound costume and dance closely with others. Extensive body measurements were taken; costume type was not initially disclosed. Rehearsals lasted up to 12 hours.
