"Bandleader Vinnie Caruana says that "about 75% of the lyrics" were written after his best friend passed away "suddenly and unexpectedly," and you can feel both the grief and the urgency coming through loud and clear in the just-released title track. "Immeasurable loss is something all of us will endure, if we haven't already," Caruana adds. "Like when a grenade explodes in a war movie,"

I Am The Avalanche will release The Horror Show, their fifth album, on April 10 via Equal Vision Records. The record is the band's first LP in six years and their first release on the label. Bandleader Vinnie Caruana wrote about 75% of the lyrics after his best friend died suddenly and unexpectedly. The title track and the single "God's Travel Plans" convey grief and urgency, with Caruana describing immeasurable loss and likening the sensation to a grenade exploding in a war movie. Videos for both songs were directed by Jesse Korman and feature Michael C. Williams. The band will support The Menzingers on a North American spring tour.
