"It's a holy grail; fans haven't seen it before. The quality of the material is amazing and he was absolutely at the height of his powers. We just had to get out of the way and let the performance speak for itself."
"You feel like you're joining the crowd back in 1978. You don't get a linear experience - you get a more three-dimensional one."
"We were able to get the multiple camera feeds, so while there is an edit out there, we could go back to the source."
Rare extended footage of David Bowie's 1978 'Heroes' performance at Earl's Court has been reconstructed from archival film reels and new camera angles. The Lightroom exhibition You're Not Alone assembles multiple camera feeds into an immersive three-storey concrete space with projections on all four walls and the floor plus spatial sound to place visitors inside the performance. Producer Mark Grimmer secured original sources and highlighted the exceptional quality and Bowie's commanding presence, aiming to let the performance speak for itself. The show also includes Bowie's 1973 Ziggy Stardust final performance and uses Bowie's interviews as narration.
