Hayley Williams released her third solo album, Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party, following a prior partial leak. The leak involved purchases from her Good Dye Young hair company that provided codes unlocking a site with 16 unreleased tracks and the song "Mirtazapine." Williams removed the files from the site and individually uploaded each song to streaming services with unique artwork, and released a music video for the title track. The finalized album, retitled Death at a Bachelorette Party, adds the new track "Parachute." Daniel James produced the record, with contributions from Joey Howard, Brian Robert Jones, and Jim-E Stack. Multiple vinyl variants and a limited CD run are available for preorder.
The release follows Williams' leak of the new album last month, where a purchase from her hair company Good Dye Young gave fans a code that unlocked a website containing 16 unreleased tracks along with a song she debuted on Nashville Public Radio called "Mirtazapine." After pulling the songs from the website shortly after, Williams uploaded each individual song to streaming services with each track boasting special artwork. She also offered a music video for the album's title track.
Now, she's unveiled the complete version of the album under the title, Death at a Bachelorette Party, along with a newly added track, "Parachute." The album was produced by Daniel James and features contributions from Joey Howard and Paramore touring bandmate Brian Robert Jones. Jim-E Stack, known for his work with Lorde and Bon Iver, also contributed to the song "True Believer."
