Donnie McClurkin, a 66-year-old Grammy-winning gospel singer and minister who has publicly denounced homosexuality, faces a civil suit in New York County Supreme Court alleging repeated sexual assault, sexual battery and related misconduct by a former male personal assistant. The accuser, identified as Giuseppe Corletto, alleges assaults occurred numerous times from the start of his employment in 2004 through 2015 and includes an alleged email in which McClurkin apologizes and calls himself "a desperate dirty 'old man.'" McClurkin's attorney called the allegations categorically false and said McClurkin denies every allegation and will vigorously defend himself.
