Dropkick Murphys Feature Anti-I.C.E. Song on New Split Album with Haywire
""Citizen I.C.E." is a reworking of the Dropkick's 2005 song "Citizen C.I.A." Performed live during the band's Fall 2025 European tour, the reworking melds the original's surging arrangement with lyrics that don't pull punches: "Too scared to join the military/ Too dumb to be a cop/ Citizen I.C.E." Haywire also lend a hand and are featured on the track."
"Last week, DKM released a video featuring the studio version of the song on Instagram, drawing attention to the tragic killing of Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis. "REST IN PEACE RENEE GOOD," read the post. "Your family is in our prayers." Meanwhile, New England Forever sees DKM and Haywire contributing three original songs each, as well as a cover of a song by the other group: Haywire taking on Dropkick Murphys' "The Boys Are Back" and Dropkick Murphys covering Haywire's "Always By My Side.""

Dropkick Murphys reworked their 2005 song "Citizen C.I.A." into the anti-I.C.E. track "Citizen I.C.E.," performed during their Fall 2025 European tour and featuring Haywire. The new lyrics directly criticize immigration enforcement with the refrain "Too scared to join the military/ Too dumb to be a cop/ Citizen I.C.E." A studio video drawing attention to the killing of Renee Nicole Good included a message of condolence. The tour-only split LP New England Forever contains three originals from each band plus cross-covers, and will be sold exclusively at shows during the upcoming US tour beginning February 9 in Portland, Maine, and culminating in Boston.
