Deftones have released a new song titled "Milk of the Madonna," showcasing powerful down-tuned riffs and Chino Moreno's emotive vocals. The song features a dynamic structure with a brief reflective pause before returning to intense power chords. This single is the second track from their upcoming 10th studio album, Private Music, which is set to be released on August 22nd. Deftones will embark on a 14-date tour starting the release date and will also host the Dia De Los Deftones festival on November 1st in San Diego.
The eruptive track seethes with a wall of down-tuned riff energy and Chino Moreno's signature emotive wails that take on a religious fervor in the chorus: "Holy ghost/ I'm on fire/ Holy spirit/ I'm on fire."
The track roars by with only a brief reflective pause in the middle to showcase quietly strummed guitars before exploding back into waves of crushing power chords.
