Deep House London Interview with Oktave | Features | Deep House London
Briefly

My journey into music began early with seven years of formal training at a music school, where I honed my skills on the saxophone through my teenage years. Influenced by a diverse array of genres from my parents (ranging from Deep Purple and Stan Getz, to Pink Floyd and Donna Summer) I developed a passion for exploring different musical styles.
The name 'Oktave' represents my desire to explore soulful house music while honoring my musical background and French heritage.
Palosanto was born from a passion for sharing exceptional music and creating meaningful experiences. After immersing myself in the vibrant music scenes of New York and experiencing a transformative period in Tulum during the pandemic, I felt inspired to establish a platform where I could curate and release music that deeply resonates with listeners.
Founded in 2019, Palosanto began as an event series and has since become a key player in the Afro-house scene in New York. As a natural extension of our commitment to our loyal audience, I launched our own curated music label, which has since become well-known.
