The discovery was made after Los Angeles police officers were called to the impound lot due to a foul odor being emitted from the car. The body was identified as 15-year-old Celeste Rivas, a teen from Lake Elsinore in Riverside County. Rivas had been declared missing for over a year when her body was found."

Los Angeles Police Department detectives searched an address on the 1300 block of Doheny Place and recovered several items of evidence for analysis.
