Converge is set to release their second album, Hum of Hurt, on June 5, following their first non-collaborative album, Love Is Not Enough. The new album draws inspiration from 'The Hum,' a low-frequency sound perceived by a small percentage of the population. Vocalist Jacob Bannon speculates on the concept of 'The Hum' representing the collective pain of the world. The album is distinct from Love Is Not Enough, as it aims to explore noise-rock rather than metal. A North American tour will commence on April 2.
