Vampire Weekend is headed to Indio, California, where the band is slated to play the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival's first weekend with a performance at the Outdoor Theatre at 5 p.m.

The band just released its fifth album, 'Only God Was Above Us,' which earned Best New Music accolades from Pitchfork. The surprise Coachella announcement aligns with their North American tour schedule.
Coachella's first Saturday features Vampire Weekend's surprise set, a reunion show by No Doubt, and headliner Tyler, The Creator closing the night.
