Cindy: Swan Lake EP
Briefly

“Candy Says” is a quiet song, gorgeous and simple, with Lou Reed whisper-singing about the transgender actress Candy Darling. The song encapsulates deep emotions through its beauty.
Cindy has plotted a course back to 1969 through a dream-pop portal in the sky... their songs are short and sweet, focusing first on feeling and then on song structure.
Their previous LP had moments of full band attack... But Swan Lake improves through subtraction. There's very little percussion on the EP, creating an ethereal sound.
Cindy achieves so much with so little. Gill’s voice is heavenly and she plays the guitar with the airiest of strums, capturing the essence of jangly rock.
