Susan Eubanks expressed her feelings of betrayal after Linkin Park moved forward with a new singer without informing her, despite previous assurances from the band.
Eubanks stated, "I feel like they're trying very hard to erase the past. They're performing songs that Chester sang. And having [Armstrong] singing my son's songs is hurtful."
She emphasized the pain of being blindsided: "They said they would let the family know if they were going to reunite. They did not... it hurt."
Reflecting on past conversations, Eubanks recalled Chester's hurt after Mike Shinoda suggested replacing him with a female vocalist, saying, "He thinks that they're going to replace me with a girl."
