Bruce Springsteen reveals unreleased film soundtrack song "Faithless"
Briefly

Bruce Springsteen has revealed a new song titled "Faithless," set to be included in his forthcoming album, Tracks II: The Lost Albums, releasing on June 27th. Originally aimed for an uncompleted film's soundtrack, Springsteen wrote it between his "Devils & Dust" tour and the subsequent release of "We Shall Overcome: The Seeger Sessions." The song showcases his signature atmospheric style, reflecting a unique collection of tracks, with seven albums in total and 74 unreleased songs. A companion release titled Lost and Found will accompany this collection, featuring "Faithless" among its selections.
Springsteen wrote and recorded much of the song and soundtrack in between the conclusion of the "Devils & Dust" tour in November 2005 and the release of "We Shall Overcome: The Seeger Sessions" in April 2006.
This was a really unusual collection of songs... atmospheric music that I thought would fit," he highlighted the unique nature of the "Faithless" soundtrack.
"You could recognize details and maybe a character or two. But for the most part... I just wrote atmospheric music," Springsteen explained.
"I woke by the rocks of the river faithless, faithless, faithless/ Then I met you." The lyrics evoke Springsteen's mythic storytelling style.
