"I feel like some of the themes [of the new album] are living in a world where so much craziness is happening so fast and you still have to live with yourself and live with your emotions about it and live in your own body," Howard tells us. "I can't go out there solving all the world's problems, even though that's what you really feel called to do, because you see so much injustice and so much suffering and so much pain. As any kind of empathetic person, it's overwhelming emotionally."
"So, I feel like this album was me navigating my personal life and also being highly aware that the world does kind of feel like it's on fire sometimes. And that's kind of the string that stretches across it."
