Maná formed in Guadalajara in 1981 as Sombrero Verde and achieved massive early-1990s success with the album ¿Dónde Jugarán Los Niños?, which sold more than 10 million copies. The band has sold over 45 million records and won multiple Grammys, Latin Grammys and other Latin music awards, and received a 2025 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nomination. A multisensory exhibit, "Rave into the Future: Art in Motion," at the Asian Art Museum examines rave dance-and-music culture as social belonging and resistance. Additional highlights include a quirky film festival and a holiday stage show devoted to The Golden Girls.
